Leadership

Wealth management, AI and financial services experience, built for the scale and scrutiny of large financial institutions.

Steve Olson

Founder & CEO

Steve founded Monstro and leads the company from New York. Before Monstro he spent twenty years in tech, banking, investments and wealth management, including thirteen years advising families and running a family-office practice. He previously founded an independent wealth management firm and led it through its acquisition by a national firm. That experience is why Monstro exists: the advice model works, but there are only so many bankers and advisors, so most customers go months or years without a real conversation about their money. Monstro is built so a regulated institution can give every customer continuous, personalized, governed guidance, digitally — and become the first contact for every financial decision.

Ian Haet

Chief Operating Officer

Ian leads how Monstro is built and run, so that each financial institution’s own rules and controls govern the guidance its customers receive. Before Monstro, he co-founded and led Startup Stock Exchange, a securities marketplace for startups, through its acquisition, and served as its anti-money-laundering compliance officer. He has also worked as an investment analyst for a state pension fund.

Tameem Samawi

Chief AI Officer

Tameem began his career working on advanced AI research for DARPA, went on to build mission-critical financial systems processing more than $130 billion in daily securities-lending activity, and later led the development of AI fraud systems deployed across 38 million users. Today, he leads Monstro’s AI engineering organization and the architecture behind bringing governed, institution-controlled financial guidance and intelligence into banking.

Jesse Goodall

VP Engineering

Jesse leads the engineering team that builds Monstro. He began his career at Credit Suisse and Bank of America, working on market data and credit risk systems, then led engineering at StrongArm Technologies and co-founded Procision Software. His work has been data and AI systems that have to be right in regulated environments. He holds a B.S. in engineering and a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore College.
